Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists provide evaluation and treatment of infants and children with specific deficits (sensory, motor, learning, self care, perceptual, play and/or social) that interfere with the ability to function at their maximum potential. Their goal is to help children perform successfully, independently & with others, in various enviroments including the community home and school.

Speech Therapy
Our speech/language pathologists provide evaluation and treatment of infants and children who exhibit difficulties with feeding, oral motor skills, speech, language, auditory processing and communication. Their goal is to design and implement a treatment plan that enables the child to effectively communicate and interact with others.

Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists are involved in the evaluation and treatment of infants and children who have delays and problems in gross motor development, muscular imbalances, and function. Evaluation is a full body dynamic assessment of each individual's challenges. A treatment plan is created specific to his/her needs in order for that child to reach their highest potential.

Special Education
Special education is provided by a certified special education teacher and is designed to provide modified educational strategies to meet the learning and behavioral needs of students with learning challenges. Island Therapies provides one-on-one special education on an individual needs basis, as well as group special education in our Mommy and Me classes. Our special educators are also involved in team evaluations and one-to-one instruction.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Island Therapies' special education teachers provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children on the autistic spectrum. ABA is a well established and researched treatment method approved for children who have been diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum. It is provided on a one-to-one basis with teachers who are trained in the method and who are dedicated to continuing education regarding the services they provide.
