About Us
Brain Train

What is it?
A computerized “mental gym” that provides a range of "exercises" for the brain to develop, improve, and remediate:
  • attention
  • concentration
  • memory
  • eye-hand coordination
  • impulse control
  • listening and learning skills
  • processing speed
  • basic problem solving/reasoning skills
  • over 22 different types of cognitive skills

Who is it for?
Individuals with ADHD, ADD, learning disabilities, brain injuries, developmental delays, mental retardation starting at age 6 years through adults.

How does it work?
It is based on research in the areas of behavior, psychology, medicine, and rehabilitation. The PIPS (Primary Information Processing System) is essential to the ability to learn and process social and academic information. Computer programs developed in a game format help to develop the PIPS. Research has shown that brain is the ultimate "use it or lose it" machine. Rewards are built into the training system to make it motivating and build confidence.

How is it done?
  • Unlike video games, exercises are carefully organized to train specific cognitive skills
  • Initial assessment to determine training needs
  • A minimum of two hours per week up to two hours per day
  • A minimum of 20 hours
  • One-to-one coaching

The fee for 20 hours of Brain Train with an initial evaluation and program development is $800.00.
Consecutive sessions are reduced to $600.00 for additional 20 hours of training.
